davfs2,wdfs always download the whole file before make it accessible.

Is there something that could be done to access the file 'directly' ?
i mean, if i do something like:

mplayer /mnt/webdav/5GB.file.avi

mplayer hangs for a looong time, then it starts playing the file from the local disk.

mplayer is just an example, i don't need a workaround for mplayer.
