[Solved] Gnome 3.6 update problem

Hi,

yesterday I run "sudo pacman -Syu" on my machine. List of updates to do was really long.

Now, at startup everything seems to work, but when it tryes to load the GDM login something fails and I have on monitor just a msg saying "Ooops, we have a problem...".

No way to login in Gnome.

Message is formatted with the Gnome default fonts and colors and the screen resolution is ok.

Any help is really apreciated, thanks in advance.

Re: [Solved] Gnome 3.6 update problem

I've found a working solution following different forum posts, starting from:

https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=151776

Here are my steps:

manually added this string to GRUB linux line, at start

init=/usr/lib/systemd/systemd

This allowed me to login with tty1. Then

systemctl enable gdm

and then I definetely added

init=/usr/lib/systemd/systemd

to grub.cfg

It works.
