[SOLVED] Getting Error 401: Unauthorized

Hi,

I have installed Apache (2.2.23) and I have configured the httpd.conf.
I have index.html file, running httpd service (daemon, whatever) and everything works fine when I type in browser "http://localhost/", index.html shows how it should etc. but when I type in browser my DNS (already set up in httpd.conf: "broislinux.no-ip.org") (no-ip.org is "Free Dynamic DNS Service") I get username & pass prompt: "The server says: <my ISP username>".
If I don't enter it, I get this error:

401 Unauthorized

Your client does not have permission to get URL / from this server.

I get the same thing If I try to connect from another IP.
I followed several tutorials just to make sure I did not miss something..

Thanks.

Meanwhile I have contacted my ISP about this problem and they had to forward port 80 to my local IP adress, so they did.
It solved my problem. smile
