irssi: /ignore ping timout spam

Hi, hope this isn't off-topic for posting in Arch forum..
In irssi I don't want to see loads of "blabla has quit [Ping timeout: xxx seconds]" spam in channel #chan, so I tried to added an ignore rule:

/ignore -regexp -pattern has.quit.*Ping.timeout: #chan QUITS

And irssi confirms on /ignore that:

1 #chan: QUITS -regexp -pattern has.quit.*Ping.timeout:

buuut it doesn't work >_<. I still get those messages when someone ping timeouts in #chan.
