[SOLVED] filesystem upgrade and existing modifications to filesystem

Hello,

I like to put incoming mail into a separate filesystem /mailweb/mail.  To do this I
made a symbolic link from /var/mail to this address.  Today I did the filesystem upgrade
(filesystem 2013.01-1) and the symbolic link disappeared only to be replaced by
the original link to /var/spool/mail.  Needless to say, this caused a minor disruption of my
email service.  (I use exim.)

What should I do to prevent such disruptions in the future?  Should I link /mailweb/mail
to /var/spool/mail rather than /var/mail?

Found a solution -- the mailbox location in exim.conf can be changed to whatever
one likes, avoiding this problem.  Same for the imap server dovecot.
