Hostapd interface mode AP

Hello,

I want to turn my computer here into a wireless hotspot. Herefore i'm doing a tutorial described here.

The problem i have is when i want to run the hostapd-min.conf i receive these errors:

Configuration file: /etc/hostapd-minimal.conf
nl80211: Failed to set interface wlan1 into AP mode
nl80211 driver initialization failed.

So the problem is lies with the interface. If i look wether my wireless supports AP (iw list) then it is one of the options:

Supported interface modes:
		 * IBSS
		 * managed
		 * AP
		 * AP/VLAN
		 * WDS
		 * monitor
		 * mesh point
		 * P2P-client
		 * P2P-GO

So i've been looking on google without success and i am clueless now. Maybe someone from here can give me a pointer where the problem might be?
