Samba wont share anything

Ok so I have a webserver . and its running archlinux .. Now I have a different box running suse10 . I want to set up a share on my arch server that can be read by my suse10 system . I have a directory [/shares/local] and I have everything set up in File Sharing to share that directory . when I enter this into konqueror --

smb://192.168.0.125/local

I get this

An error occurred while loading smb://192.168.0.125/local:
The file or folder smb://192.168.0.125/local does not exist.

im not sure whats wrong . Can anyone help ?
