module p80211 not found after kernel upgrade

Hi, I tried to upgrade to 2.6.13 kernel from 2.6.11. I changed the devfs names in the config files to udevfs etc., rebooted and all was fine except for one thing: when I tried to start my wireless network, I got the message

FATAL: module p80211 not found

I searched through some forums but I could not find any clues. I tried to reinstall the wlan-ng package (while running the 2.6.13 kernel) and I found out a strange thing: the wlan-ng26 installed the modules to /lib/modules/2.6.11.10-ARCH directory instead of /lib/modules/2.6.13-ARCH.
First I simply tried to copy the modules from /lib/modules/2.6.11.10-ARCH directory to the 2.6.13 one, but it didn't work (the module was found but failed to load).
I am a newbie and I don't know what to do in such case; I suppose the solution should be quite easy...

Anyway, I've downgraded back to 2.6.11 kernel and now the wlan device works fine again, but I would like to use the new kernel... Does anyone know what is the problem with the 2.6.13 kernel and the wlan-ng26 drivers?
Thanks in advance.

Re: module p80211 not found after kernel upgrade

The wlan-ng26 package has not been updated since the days of the 2.6.11.10 kernel, and it's been flagged out-of-date for some time now. Until the devs get around to it, you could use ABS to build your own version for the current kernel.

Would ieee80211 package help?

Re: module p80211 not found after kernel upgrade

No, not in this case. wlan-ng provides the driver for wireless NICS based on the Prism 2/2.5/3 chipsets. It installs the p80211 module mentioned, the prism2_xxx modules, where xxx is pci, usb, cs, etc, and the config tools.
