Deluge (Headless) refuses connection [SOLVED]

I followed the instructions on the wiki here, the only thing that differs from the instructions is the password. However when I run

connect <host>[:<port>] <user> <password>

through deluge-console on a remote client I get "connection refused" messages. I have no firewall setup so I don't see what the issue is.

I have the daemon running as a system service and I changed the

/etc/systemd/system/deluged.service

user to a normal user and changed the config in the home directory. Not sure why I can't connect? Do I need to run deluge as a user service to get it to work?

Edit:
Perhaps I am using the wrong port? I am trying to connect through the port given in the wiki: 58846.

Re: Deluge (Headless) refuses connection [SOLVED]

Well I feel silly now. I had to change the json file in

$HOME/.config/deluge/core.conf

through ssh, and change the setting allowing remote connections to true. I can now connect remotely smile
