drupal and nginx

Greetings,

I am getting the following error when i am trying to configure drupal with nginx:

Warning: file_exists(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/usr/share/webapps/drupal/sites/sites.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/usr/share/webapps/:/srv/http/:/home/:/tmp/:/usr/share/pear/) in conf_path() (line 551 of /usr/share/webapps/drupal/includes/bootstrap.inc).

so from what i understand it is saying webapps is not in my allowed path, when it really is...
