Problem with Network Manager and Gnome Keyring in Cinnamon

I have recently been having problems with Network Manager remembering WPA2 passwords.  When I go into the network connection settings and enter the password, it just doesn't save, producing a blank password field when I open the settings again.  The really strange thing is that if I store the password and then immediately hit connect from the same window, it connects fine.  When I try to connect later, no window pops up, it just disconnects me from the current WiFi I am connected to.

I am currently using Cinnamon 1.9 and no desktop manager.  I have followed the instructions for "Starting keyring without GNOME" in the GNOME Keyring Arch Linux Wiki page.  It used to remember the password and worked great up until a couple of weeks ago.

Does anyone have any clues as to what the problem is?

What do you mean by "no desktop manager"?

Did you see the problem occurring after upgrading Cinnamon?
