Firefox Causes Network Connection to Stop Working

Firefox occasionally stops my internet connection from working on a system-wide basis.

- If I run "netctl restart home" without terminating firefox, it begins to work again without incident.
- Occasionally, the connection dies again when I open a new page in firefox. Specifically, it crashes almost 100% of the time if I open a page with flash content.
- I also have noticed that when firefox crashes in this way, it can leak upwards of 500mb of memory.
- I use netctl, and my network has non-enterprise wpa2 security. The profile is enabled to be launched at startup.
- The applications chromium, wine, steam, ftp, ssh, and skype can all access the internet without incident.
- My network driver is ath9k

Has anyone else run into this problem?
