Edit: I thought this was resolved. I restored to factory defaults and connected fine the first time. After a disconnect it's back to the same old thing
I woke my computer from sleep mode and suddenly it wouldn't connect to wireless. Rebooting made no effect. I tried a wired connection and same thing.
Wicd authenticates, goes to connecting, connected, not connected. I did manage to pull an IP last night with both wired and wireless, could reach the router but not the internet. I dont recall what I did exactly, disabled a service I thought shouldnt have been running. Have not been able to replicate
Note: I can connect to my neighbors unsecured wireless but not mine and get internet. Even if I unsecure my wireless it still will not connect.
Here is a log file from when wicd was working:

Seems like this could be related to a bug in wicd where dhcpcd is forked to the background once ipv6 address is obtained before ipv4 address can be set by dhcpcd. Bug report herehttps://bugs.launchpad.net/wicd/+bug/933378, not sure if this is the issue or why it would randomly crop up. Will test by disabling ipv6 when I can and see if that solves the issue. Alternatively forcing wicd to use dhclient. Will report back with details

I am able to connect to my router manually using wpa_supplicant but am still unable to get to the internet. I can get an IPv4 address and get to the router. In my journalctl for wicd it says "no support for dhcpv6 management" right after the router advertisement. Not sure if thats an issue or not. it says it's getting an IP
Here is the output of
