Hi All,
I hope this is the right place to post this.
Last night I installed Arch on my laptop. Everything is working quite well except that when I start networking (either wireless or wired) using either netctl or NetworkManager X apps fail to launch with the error:
[swinchen@localhost ~]$ chromium
No protocol specified
(chromium:1245): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0
[swinchen@localhost ~]$ dolphin
No protocol specified
dolphin: cannot connect to X server :0
Has anyone seen anything like this before? It was working last night at home... for some reason (either because I plugged into the dock, or the network) I am having this problem at work.
Any help with ideas, troubleshooting, etc. would be appreciated.
Sam

Thanks, that worked. Just had to set hostname.
Wow, I never would have guessed that.
