[SOLVED] grub-mkconfig fails

The grub-mkconfig command is failing for me and I cannot run it anymore, leaving me with old kernel boot options.

Here is the output:

vinipsmaker ~ $ LANG=C sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
Generating grub configuration file ...
Found theme: /boot/grub/themes/Archlinux/theme.txt
Found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-linux
Found initrd image: /boot/initramfs-linux.img
Found memtest86+ image: /boot/memtest86+/memtest.bin

Syntax errors are detected in generated GRUB config file.
Ensure that there are no errors in /etc/default/grub
and /etc/grub.d/* files or please file a bug report with
/boot/grub/grub.cfg.new file attached.done

Here is the generated file: http://pastebin.com/bdtfUi0r

Here is the old /boot/grub/grub.cfg file: http://pastebin.com/i66ezgem

Here is /etc/default/grub: http://pastebin.com/adbfaa64

I tried uninstall memtest86+ to check if the error was the menuentry related and I got no results. I tried remove the radeon.audio=1 option and no results. I tried to comment the theme line and I got no results.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the tip.

I found the problem here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 4#p1360544

From now on I'll always try to find if someone had the problem before posting.
