I'm experiencing a very strange problem:
cloning repositories or downloading files form github.com (e.g: https://github.com/wens/linux/archive/6 … 8d403d.zip) is excruciatingly slow (10-20 KB/s). For anything else the connection works perfectly at something like 700 KB/s.
This problem happens with two completely different machines on the same network (one is an ARM SoC and the other is a x86_64 desktop), but the same computer running windows has no problem.
The network and computers have no firewall for outgoing connections (incoming ports are instead closed on the router).
It might be some problem archlinux has in conjunction with the router (netgear DGN2200), but I'm guessing archlinux is the problem since windows works perfectly.
Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start looking for a solution? What's so special about github that makes it the only site/protocol that has problems?
Any hints are appreciated...
