Hey,
sometimes when I start my laptop, the wireless network card isn't properly recognized. Usually it has the name (ip link) wlp3s0. But often it is ony listed as wlan0. Everytime when it is recognized as wlan0, I can't connect to any network, but scanning is possible.
Has someone an idea, in which logs I have to look to solve this problem? It is really annoying because it shows up only irregular.

Hi Arche,
I've just fixed this myself 5min ago after 2 long weeks, I have the intel 7260ac+bt4.0. now what i did might be something you not comfortable with but intel card with two radios have two W disable pins on the mini pcie card these are pin 20 (W_DISABLE1#) for wifi and pin 51 (RESERVED (W_DISABLE2#) for bluetooth, what i've done is cover these pins very carefully with electrical tape, you won't be able to use hardware switches to turn it off but software switches like airplane mode should still work.
Best regards and good luck

Thanks for your reply. But is this the only choice? I have no idea how to do this without destroying my laptop ;-)

From what I know it is with the wifi card still being quite also did your laptop come with the card installed and if so do you have the latest bios for your laptop? I say this because my problems we're mainly due to my bios did not like the extra power control on pin 51.

Yes, I have the latest BIOS installed. There is no BIOS update available for my laptop.
