[SOLVED] Changing GPU ATI -> NVidia. Anything I need to do before?

I'm about to replace an ATI 5870 with an NVidia 750ti. Is there anything I need to do such as uninstalling ATI drivers before I make the physical change to the PC?

Change4 the hardware, boot into the tty and make the necessary changes in drivers / settings.

Thanks, that was fairly painless!

In case anyone lands on this page from a search, here's what I had to do:

I had to boot from the LiveCD and arch-chroot as I use NetworkManager for my wifi and wasn't sure how to connect it from the command line and the livecd has wifi-menu, but then it was just a case of

pacman -R catalyst
pacman -R catalyst-utils
pacman -R lib32-catalyst-utils
pacman -S nvidia
pacman -S lib32-nvidia-utils

Why?
I was talking about just booting into tty, not about using a liveCD.

Solely because I didn't know how to connect NetworkManager from the command line so had no Wifi and couldn't download anything using pacman.

That's how I understood your previous post, but I wanted to make sure :-)
