[SOLVED] Stuttering animations onI Intel Graphics using SNA

Hi,

I'm experiencing quite choppy animations in GNOME with a fresh installation of archlinux on my new laptop with an Intel i5-4200U CPU and integrated HD4400 graphics.
Switching the acceleration method to the old UXA makes them appear much more smoothly, although I get similar result for both methods in GtkPerf and the machine seems to run way hotter on UXA.
Is this a general problem with SNA or have I done something wrong with my configuration?

Have you tried enabling the "tearfree" option in your /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf file?

Section "Device"
	Identifier "Intel Graphics"
	Driver "Intel"
	Option "AccelMethod" "sna"
	Option "TearFree" "True"
EndSection

I had terrible tearing with my HD4600 before I created this config file...
