So I'm an idiot and tried installing OSS (because someone on the Internet said it might make WoW work better in Wine.) I recognized the error of my ways, but am at a loss for re-enabling ALSA on my system.
I have:
* Deleted /etc/modprobe.d/alsa_blacklist.conf
* Disabled "oss" in systemctl
* Rebooted
* Swore very badly
Nevertheless, I can't get Alsa to work and the only audio output device available in Sound Preferences is Dummy Output. My system's DE is MATE.

Uninstall OSS? Reinstall alsa-utils

OSS will probably have deleted the ALSA kernel modules (in a fit of jealousy, I reckon), so reinstall the kernel.

Shouldn't re-installing alsa-utils then install the ALSA kernel modules and remove the OSS modules ? Fair is fair !!!

Uninstalling OSS did the trick. Didn't even need to mess with alsa-utils. Thanks!
