systemd does not suspend laptop when lid event occurs

Hi guys,

for some weeks now, systemd does not do what it used to do: suspend the laptop when I close the lid.

Here is the logind.conf:

[Login]
#NAutoVTs=6
#ReserveVT=6
#KillUserProcesses=no
#KillOnlyUsers=
#KillExcludeUsers=root
#InhibitDelayMaxSec=5
HandlePowerKey=poweroff
HandleSuspendKey=suspend
HandleHibernateKey=suspend
HandleLidSwitch=suspend
PowerKeyIgnoreInhibited=no
SuspendKeyIgnoreInhibited=no
HibernateKeyIgnoreInhibited=no
LidSwitchIgnoreInhibited=no
#IdleAction=ignore
#IdleActionSec=30min
#RuntimeDirectorySize=10%
#RemoveIPC=yes

Laptop does recognize what happens:

Apr 08 11:36:32 guardian systemd-logind[283]: Lid closed.
Apr 08 11:36:47 guardian systemd-logind[283]: Lid opened.

But no suspend....I also used the default "LidSwitchIgnoreInhibited=yes" to no avail (not comfortable with that, anyways - but it doesn't make a difference).

It all works well if I hit the suspend key (and it used to work with this config). Any clues as to what changed? I am using dwm, so this is not a DM issue.

Thanks for any input smile
