I'm a free software kinda guy, so it's painful enough to be forced to use an Exchange server for mail at work. I used the 60-day ExQuila trial for Thunderbird, and it worked great, but I'm not about to put money toward a project that goes directly against my wishes.
So, I tried using DavMail (the AUR package), and it was able to connect to the server, but it denied my login credentials (credentials that were accepted when I attempted using the Outlook web client).
Is there a reliable way to connect to Exchange using Thunderbird (or another client on Arch) without spending money?
Preferably, I use as few extensions as possible and get to stick with Thunderbird as my client.

Couldn't stick with Thunderbird.
The 3.12 update to evolution-mapi on the AUR works with the Evolution mail client, though, and I'm really happy with the results.
Evolution isn't as bloated as Thunderbird.
