After the upgrade of the Libre Office suite from 4.2.2 to 4.2.3, I cannot open docx files - the UI freezes with no response to keyboard or mouse.
Downgrading all libreoffice-* packages to 4.2.2-5 allows Writer to open the files once again correctly.
The only other issue I've seen on the forum is related to a dependency on gstreamer-0.10, but since I'm able to install all 4.2.3 packages I assume it's not that causing this problems.
Anyone else having similar problems?

I cannot reproduce your problem, just tested with two complex DOCX files. Maybe there is a regression in LibreOffice specific to some DOCX files or features.

Well I just noticed an upgrade to 4.2.3-2 but even with that I get the same behaviour.
It renders the document to the screen with a strange grey strip on the right hand side of the screen - and then writer freezes - I cant even take a screenshot because it won't repaint the screen.
It's a very, very basic document with some basic layout changes - a single page, landscape, with a table and unusual margins.
I uploaded a copy if that helps.

I have no trouble reading your file in LibreOffice 4.2.3.3 It is a table with 5 columns, nine rows + headers, and a few typos ![]()
Running i3 WM, Intel graphics, Compton, 64 bit. No gray bar. No Freeze.

Is that the problem? Seems that it doesn't happen if I uninstall the libreoffice-kde4 plugin.
Ugly though ![]()
