arch doesn't connect to wifi.

This is embarrassing/frustrating. I have just installed arch and while on installation the wifi was perfect, now arch won't connect. Everytime I find a solution, it works this time and on the next boot, it won't work. Currently, I try with nm-applet. I have networkmanager service enabled and started but the connection fails. Reading dmesg output, I see this part

wlp3s0: authenticate with b0:48:7a:fb:6a:32
[ 160.552211] wlp3s0: send auth to b0:48:7a:fb:6a:32 (try 1/3)
[ 160.655044] wlp3s0: send auth to b0:48:7a:fb:6a:32 (try 2/3)
[ 160.758399] wlp3s0: send auth to b0:48:7a:fb:6a:32 (try 3/3)
[ 160.861759] wlp3s0: authentication with b0:48:7a:fb:6a:32 timed out

And here are my services (I've notices that dhcpcd is loaded and failed, I didn't manager to stop it).

LOAD = Reflects whether the unit definition was properly loaded.
ACTIVE = The high-level unit activation state, i.e. generalization of SUB.
SUB = The low-level unit activation state, values depend on unit type.

108 loaded units listed. Pass --all to see loaded but inactive units, too.
To show all installed unit files use 'systemctl list-unit-files'.

Also, right after typing the systemctrl command, I restarted NetworkManager (systemctl restart NetworkManager) and now I can connect.

Well, what is wrong with my machine? Will it ever be able to play basketball?

Re: arch doesn't connect to wifi.

As a sanity check, what is the output of systemctl --type=service.  I am looking for conflicting services.

Re: arch doesn't connect to wifi.

Don't enable the dhcpcd service.  That service starts dhcpcd.  NetworkManager knows when dhcpcd is needed, and it also will start dhcpcd when it needs it.  So, the dhcpcd from the dhcpcd.service fights with the dhcpd started from NetworkManager.

Let me know what happens after you disable and stop that service.

Re: arch doesn't connect to wifi.

I disabled dhcpcd and rebooted. The machine connected to my wifi automatically. I'll update again in a couple of days and say if this worked or not

Re: arch doesn't connect to wifi.

Well, it was fine one day, and today, it didn't connect again. I plugged my phone for wifi connection and then the on board wifi card connected as well.
