So I have an ipad with bluetooth keyboard I use to SSH into my computer at home from work, while on a fast connection such as at the house my SSH works perfectly, even while at work it sometimes works fine but the internet at work is extremely slow. Although I've turned on compression and switched to ipv4 it's still really slow. I know I can chnge ciphers however the issue doesn't seem to be the computer speed as it's a pretty fast computer and it works fine when on a faster connection. Is there anyway to shrink what's being transmitted in order for ssh to run faster? Or some other way? Or is it the client I use on my ipad, I'm currently using SSH Term Pro, is there any suggestions on a faster client?

My only suggestion would be to try mosh on your PCs because it is meant to survive disconnects and slower connections I believe.

That's a good idea, I'll try setting that up when I get home, does it support ipad though?
[Update] I went ahead and set mosh up via my current SSH connection I had and than switched to issh for my ssh client (which supports mosh) and now it works much better, just had to vnc into my home video server at home and forward the right ports in my router. Appreciate it
