Hi,
I was doing a bit of multitasking, and the kernel ran out of SWAP and crashed. After reboot everything is borked. Every program I had open prior to crash wont start or crashes soon after opening. (Chromium, Clementine, Terminal, Smuxi, VMware...). The error is either segmentation fault or some weird error.
Smuxi:

Try downgrading libxcursor back to 1.1.14-1
There are several posts here about segfaults being caused by the upgrade libxcursor (1.1.14-1 -> 1.1.14-2)
The first few results of a search for libxcursor will give more details.
e.g.

jan1024188, please edit your post.
When posting configs, code or command output, please use [ code ] tags https://bbs.archlinux.org/help.php#bbcode
like this
It makes the code more readable and - in case of longer listings - more convenient to scroll through.

+1.... the pacman /var/cache/pacman/pkg/libxcursor-1.1.14-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz did the trick for me...
Google-chrome-stable, Keepass, Chromium, and other applications were crashing for me
Offline
Downgrading libxcursor didn't help for me, still segfault.
Edit: it was a scripts that was on autoload that caused the crash.

Can you elaborate on your fix?
I'm having the same issue with cpan, perl, urxvt, after a many month slep on pacman -Syu
bladdo / mil / Miles
