Virgin Superhub 2 (UK) - can't connect to it until I restart it

I have recently upgraded my broadband connection with Virgin Media in the UK and they upgraded my modem to a Superhub (joint modem/router). Every device in the house connects to it fine apart from my laptop running Arch with Gnome 3.12.2 and Linux 3.12.4-1. When I boot up my laptop it tries to connect to the Superhub and then fails. It won't connect until I turn the Superhub off and on and then it connects straight away. Has anyone else had this problem or know how I can find out what's going wrong?
