NetworkManager trying to manage vboxnet0

Hi there,

since yesterday's update NM tries to manage the VirtualBox adapter vboxnet0. This makes no sense and wasn't the case before. I guess it was blacklisted somehow and now it isn't anymore.

To solve this temporarily, I've added it to unmanaged-devices, but it still shows up in the NM list (but now as unmanaged). Before the update, it wasn't in the NM interface list at all.

/etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf

[keyfile]
unmanaged-devices=mac:address

Is anyone else noticing this behaviour?

Re: NetworkManager trying to manage vboxnet0

There is no bug report yet (arch or upstream), I filed one at the arch bugtracker since I don't know if the problem comes from upstream:

Re: NetworkManager trying to manage vboxnet0

Hi,

I have the same  issue but with vmware workstation, network manager now manages the vmnet1 and vmnet8 virtual interfaces.
This was not the case before the update to network manager 0.9.10.0-2.
