I'm using hylafax on my server to receive faxes. I need to use that phone line for voice as well. What I want to do is set up an answering machine on the server that will recognize whether the call is a fax or voice. If it's voice, it should provide answering machine service, and if a fax, it should let hylafax handle it. Hylafax currently emails me the faxes, and it would be nice if the answering machine would email me the messages as well. I've looked around for appropriate software, but haven't seen anything I'm convinced will work.
We did try a box in front of the server that was supposed to filter out the voice calls, but we couldn't get hylafax to work with it.
Anyone have any recommendations?
