systemd-networkd disables Wake on Lan

First of all, Wake on Lan works perfectly fine if I use netctl to configure my wired interface, both when suspended and shut down.

However, after switching to systemd-networkd, WoL only works when suspended, not after shutting down. It would seem that systemd-networkd takes down the link on shutdown, while netctl does not.

Has anyone else dealt with this issue? I'd like to keep using systemd-networkd but have switched back to netctl for now...

Re: systemd-networkd disables Wake on Lan

I've had the same issue. Ethtool shows wake on lan is enabled, but the machine does not power back up when sending the magic packets.
I've tried setting the WakeOnLan=magic in a .link file (https://www.freedesktop.org/software/sy … .link.html), without success sad.

Re: systemd-networkd disables Wake on Lan

Ok, this was my fault. I had r8168 installed and r8169 blacklisted. Wol worked just fine with r8169 module and explains why wol worked when booting to archiso (archiso uses r8169).
