Hi,
I'm trying to connect my audio receiver (JVC RX-6010RBK) via TOSLINK to my soundcard (VIA Technologies Inc. VT1720/24 [Envy24PT/HT]).
Pulseaudio is installed and seems to be working fine since the other soundcards (onboardsound + hdmi-sound) aren't causing any problems.

active port: <iec958-stereo-output>seems fine to me. KDE shows the sound card just as expected.
I've checked alsamixer to make sure nothing is muted.
When I play a video with vlc "VT1720/24 [Envy24PT/HT] PCI Multi-Channel Audio Controller Digital Stereo (IEC958)" is available and there are no errors while playing. The output of $pacmd list-sinks even changes from "state: SUSPENDED" to "state: RUNNING".
Everything seems fine except one thing: I don't hear any sound.
Right now I don't know where else to look. Maybe someone here has another idea?
