Hello.
I installed hp-setup. Then I run:
$ hp-setup -u
HP Linux Imaging and Printing System (ver. 3.14.10)
Printer/Fax Setup Utility ver. 9.0

error: HPLIP is not installed properly or is installed without graphical support. Please reinstall HPLIP
warning: Qt/PyQt 4 initialization failed.
error: hp-setup requires GUI support (try running with --qt3). Also, try using interactive (-i) mode.
If I run hp-setup -u --qt3 or hp-setup --gt3 then I get
error: option --qt3 not recognized
I have also googled and for ubuntu solution was to install hplip-gui. But there is not such package for Arch.
Here https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=132009 the solution was to install python2-qt. But there is not such package too. I installed python-pyqt4 and it did not was a solution.
Maybe I am missing some package, which is not included to hplip? Help me!

Why don't you use pacman to set it up?
# pacman -S hplib
do it good first, it will be faster than do it twice the saint

agent0: please use code tags, not that horrible colouring (which is very hard to read) https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fo … s_and_Code

@jasonwryan, I wanted to put it into BBCode "code", but color is not working in it. I colored text as it is colored in terminal

The colour adds nothing, in fact it makes it harder to read: please fix it.

Thanks. Looks like a bug. Run `hp-setup -i`, that still works...

@jasonwryan, bug in arch's package or in upstream? Where should I report?
Also, I have noticed, that it does not support unicode. Because it is trying to display russian letters as '?' symbols.
