As indicated by the title, I am running arch on a Macbook Pro 9,2. I am trying to exercise some control over my fan speed - set it at certain RPMs corresponding to particular temperatures. I am attempting to follow the fan speed control wiki page, but when I run
# pwmconfig
I get
/usr/bin/pwmconfig: There are no pwm-capable sensor modules installed
I have installed lm_sensors and xsensors, and I have tried adding acpi_enforce_resources=lax to my GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT line of /etc/default/grub (and then running grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg) as suggested here, but that was unsuccessful. I appreciate any guidance or suggestions that you can offer. I have included the output of running
# sensors
below for reference.

I never was able to figure out my system's problem with pwmconfig. For anyone with a similar problem who finds this post, an alternative method of controlling your fans is given in this forum post. I keep my core temp and fan speed displayed on my desktop with conky and I just created a few aliases in ~/.zshrc to control fan rpm manually via the commands in the link. You could easily write a script to automate fan speed regulation using these commands (indeed, some people already have).

My apologies. I have made the appropriate modification.
