X11, "Cannot open display" while in a X window

Hi,

I opened a X11 forwarding session with Plink, and launched gnome-terminal. It works great, however, when trying to launch any other X program, it fails.

Extra infos :

• the display is set to `localhost:10.0`

• it works if I use `DISPLAY=<my host ip>:0.0` instead

• my `/etc/hosts` contains the following :

  127.0.0.1	localhost.localdomain	localhost
  ::1		localhost.localdomain	localhost

• when doing a telnet to 127.0.0.1 6010 (or localhost 6010), i get a connection refused

How can I fix this ?
