Wirless connection gets terminated when router changes bandwith

I have a Fritz Box 7490 which is the current "premium model". My computer is a Thinkpad X 220. I'm connecting to the wireless network via NetworkManager. When I boot up my computer it connects to the network and everything works fine. After about 10-20 minutes the connection gets terminated. NetworkManager still seems to think it is connected but I can't access any website or ping an external IP. When I look into my logs it says:

Jan 11 13:18:05 mobiletux kernel: wlp3s0: AP 08:96:d7:89:84:df changed bandwidth, new config is 2462 MHz, width 2 (2452/0 MHz)

It seems to be that all I can do is to restart NetworkManager. After this, everything works just fine again until the router changes the bandwith again. Is this a known bug? Since it gets a bit annoying: Is there anything I can do about that problem? (I think a work-around would be to turn off bandwidth switching in the router's interface but I don't understand enough for that: Is the bandwidth related to the channels I get shown in my router's interface? Or do I have to turn off wireless "N" and use one of the older standards?)
