Hi! First sorry for my english but I am a French student. So my problem is that my wifi signal is weaker on Linux than on Windows. But really weaker. Where I am now my signal on Windows is pretty weak (the router is pretty far and I can't make any modification to it) so on Linux there is no signal at all. My driver is iwlwifi. Can you please help me?
I am not sure what information you need so I will give you as soon as I see it.

I'm having this exact same issue with the same driver. Any advice/help would be appreciated.

Evidently the latest linux-firmware update (to 20141201.38e5405-1) contained a few munged Intel items which have now been set right:

iwlwifi: update -10.ucode for 3160 / 7260 / 7265 / 7265D
This fixes issues that were seen in -10.ucode for the devices listed above.
So you might try replacing your /usr/lib/firmware/iwlwifi-3160-10.ucode with the latest version from http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Dri … i#Firmware
Seems to have worked for my Intel Wireless 7260.
Enough is more.
