Hi everyone,
once again I´ve WLAN connection issues. Whenever I wake up my Thinkpad T60 or reboot it the WiFi connection is lost. A simple
systemctl restart network-wireless@wls3.service
reinitiates the interface yet no ping is responding. I always have to reboot the router as well in order to have WiFi connection back online. This only happens with my arch installation and never with the WiFi connection of my cellphone, tv or xbox. The chipset on my arch installation is the AR5418 and I configured it for static IP using the wiki article Systemd with wpa_supplicant and static IP.

If you don't have a connection after the restart command, why do you think the interface is "reinitiated", as you put it? Check your journal for clues, and if your router has logs, check them too.

After shutting down the notebook and then booting up again I checked my connection status:
$ iw dev wls3 link
Connected to 9c:80:df:98:ef:47 (on wls3)
SSID: Ameisenhaufen # <- my router´s name
freq: 2432
RX: 64376 bytes (425 packets)
TX: 1479 bytes (17 packets)
signal: -41 dBm
tx bitrate: 130.0 MBit/s MCS 15
bss flags: short-slot-time
dtim period: 1
beacon int: 100
This means that wpa_supplicant has established the connection. But I cannot ping the router nor can I accaess the internet. There must be some issue concerning the ip but I cannot figure it.Now, when I reboot the router the connection is all fine. Anyone has an idea what could cause this?
