Hi,
after the recent systemd update completely broke networking on my system (I used to use systemd-networkd), I tried to switch to netctl.
It didn't work neither as I permanently got timeouts when dhcpd tried to get a lease.
I switched on and off every single option on Archlinux' default /etc/dhcpcd.conf, and it turned out that the culprit was the duid option!
Now here it says: "Some non-RFC compliant DHCP servers do not reply with this set", but the comment in the file then suggests to use "clientid" instead.
For me NEITHER worked! But then again commenting out BOTH (no duid and no clientid) made netctl and dhcpcd work like a charm.
Cheers
