Sound does not work for some reason every second time i boot. It works one time. Then it does not work after i reboot and again works if i reboot again.
I get this message in dmesg on every boot.

It works if i force the model as k8x800.
I am using this line in my /etc/modprobe.d/
options snd-ice1724 model=k8x800Offline
I am getting the same problem even with forcing the model. It works one time and then it does not work the next time.

Can anyone tell me how i can reload the snd-ice1724 module with another model without rebooting ?

man modprobeOffline
i tried using modprobe. It is not allowing me to remove the module and reload it.
When i try to remove the module even if i give -f option, it is saying
modprobe: FATAL: Module snd_ice1724 is in useOffline
adding the kernel parameter irqpoll to grub seems to have solved the problem. I have rebooted the system 5-6 times since i added that option and the sound always worked.
