[SOLVED]failed to initialize alpm library when trying to remove packag

I was compiling telepathy-morse-git with yaourt when it complained about a file conflict between telepathy-morse-git and telepathy-morse-qt4-git (which is a dep).
So I tried to remove it but unfortunately I noticed a strange error when I try to remove a package:

pacman -Sr ntp
error: failed to initialize alpm library
(could not find or read directory: ntp/var/lib/pacman/)

Everything else seem to work flawlessly, so my issue with pacman (and yaourt too) arises only when removing packages.
I found lots of topics with this error, but the issue was not limited to the package removal and the solutions I found didn't help.

That is not how you remove a package...

What an idiot I am: I reversed the capital letters (-Sr instead of -Rs). I'm sorry.
