[SOLVED] watch: command not found

Here is something I've never encountered before, the watch command cannot be found, this is a relatively new installation and I must have left something out. is it part of a package bundle because I can't find it as an independent package in the repositories. Thanks.

Re: [SOLVED] watch: command not found

slithery@blue:~ pkgfile /usr/bin/watch
core/procps-ng

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

Don't forget to mark your post as solved, also you may want to set up the pkgfile 'command not found hook' to avoid this issue in the future.

Re: [SOLVED] watch: command not found

How did you install Arch? procps-ng is part of the base group and both wiki guides recommended to install it:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/In … e_packages
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Be … ase_system

Edit:

Or use the '-b' switch:

$ pkgfile -b watch
core/procps-ng

I got selective instead of installing all by default. Lesson learned. smile
