Here is something I've never encountered before, the watch command cannot be found, this is a relatively new installation and I must have left something out. is it part of a package bundle because I can't find it as an independent package in the repositories. Thanks.

slithery@blue:~ pkgfile /usr/bin/watch core/procps-ng
That's it, thanks.

Don't forget to mark your post as solved, also you may want to set up the pkgfile 'command not found hook' to avoid this issue in the future.

How did you install Arch? procps-ng is part of the base group and both wiki guides recommended to install it:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/In … e_packages
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Be … ase_system
Edit:
slithery@blue:~ pkgfile /usr/bin/watch core/procps-ng
Or use the '-b' switch:
$ pkgfile -b watch
core/procps-ng

I got selective instead of installing all by default. Lesson learned.
