Complete system freeze. Need help to diagnose (IntelliJ, BTRFS, ???)

Hi. My system freeze completely when working in IntelliJ IDEA for no apparent reason. Can't find anything in log. Need help to find the problem.

On Dell XPS 13 2015 (9343) with Gnome.

Sometime for no apparent reason, when editing file in Intellij IDEA, the system freeze, completely. Nothing move on screen. No keyboard response (try Ctrl+Alt+F*, Alt+PrtScr+{r,e,i,s,u,b} (sysrq activated)). I can't only shut down the laptop using hardware shutdown (long press on power).

The problem is I can't find anything in log that can cause the problem.

I suspect a problem with BTRFS (root on compressed BTRFS), because sometime the file that I was editing is empty after the reboot.

Maybe a problem with the wireless, because the last two crash the last message was a bad response from a computer on the network and I changed the wireless card (remove the broadcom and put a Intel).

Maybe java, because IDEA run on java.

I don't know were I can find BTRFS log or more information.

Thank for the reply.

I check these threads.

In the first thread the program stop responding but the system continue to work. My system don't respond anymore. I can't do anything.
The second is about Oracle JRE but I use OpenJDK 8.

I can start IntelliJ IDEA and use it with no problem for many minutes to many hours.

One more info: When the system freeze, if music was playing the last seconds loop indefinitely.

I try running iIntellij IDEA and redirecting stderr and stdout to file to see if I can catch anything before freeze.

Someone know how I can view any log related to BTRFS ?
Is it possible that the last log entries before freeze are not wrote to disk (disk cache or something)?

Another system freeze. Nothing in intellij log, nothing in journald log...

I want the find where the problem come from to solve it or make a bug report. How can I do that if I can't find any trace of any problem?

Yes, enabled and tested, but don't work when the system freeze.

Maybe IntelliJ is using some kind of special file that cause the system to freeze?

I'm also seeing intellij totally lock the system up and I also happen to be running on btrfs. Is there any solution to this?

I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one. The problem seem to be related to btrfs.

I was on others project and didn't use intellij since. But I made some modification to the mount parameter of btrfs to remove the delay in the commit. Maybe it will help to find the problem when it append.

Here is my fstab option for the btrfs volume

rw,noatime,compress=lzo,ssd,discard,space_cache,autodefrag,commit=0,thread_pool=8

Can you send your fstab mount parameters?
