Hello, recently had a major update of applications, which is updated systemd (226-3 -> 227-1) and the kernel linux (4.2.2-1 -> 4.2.3-1). After restarting the computer stopped working internet. Wifi worked through the generated profile wifi-menu and netctl. Wired internet is also not working.
I tried to use linux-lts, but it also did not help.
[death@Jarvis ~]$ sudo netctl start wlp16s0-Home-WiFi

[death@Jarvis ~]$ sudo netctl start ethernet-dhcp

yes. I tried using linux-lts, but to no avail. It turned out, the problem is that when updating the adapter is locked. rfkill unblock wifi helped. Sorry for my noob question.

Wifi worked through the generated profile wifi-menu and netctl. Wired internet is also not working..
later....
adapter is locked.
Not sure what that means.
rfkill unblock wifi helped.
I thought this was a wired internet problem

Addendum: this happened to me after an update, however I did not have rfblock installed to unblock the wifi card. Without wifi, I couldn't install rfblock on a laptop. Irritating. To solve the catch 22, this also worked:
# echo 0 > /sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/soft
Note that multiple paths are relevant; /sys/class/rfkill/rfkill{0..3}/soft existed on my system.
