So I'm using Xmonad as WM for now over a year and nearly everything works nice. But especially Java application are a riddle for me.
Currently I need to use the Spring framework and therefore the Spring Tool Suite which is a distribution of Eclipse.
The problem with it is that it takes ages to reload windows if I don't reload them by myself with Xmonad. I have to use NextLayout to actually get them reloaded.
Here's how this process looks like:
In the second picture the wizard should have shown nothing like in the third picture, but it only does until I use NextLayout. Did someone had similar issues and know a fix for this? I know there are topics about this in the Wiki but I didn't found anything related to this, respectively I overlooked it.

Not Xmonad is the problem the openJDK is the problem. With JDK and JRE from Oracle there are not such problems.
