Intel Centrino 6235 - Wireless working too slowly

The same notebook I'm using (Asus Zenbook UX31A) used to download at 500KB/s while under windows, (also debian and for a while even arch linux, not sure what changed), now it can't get past 50KB/s

This is a clean install, I haven't even installed any UI yet, want to solve the download speed issue before going further on the install.

I tried this: http://bernaerts.dyndns.org/linux/74-ub … low-freeze, and also tried removing the other iwlwifi firmware from /lib/firmware leaving only the one it should be using (iwlwifi-6000g2b-6), not sure if this is a correct approach.

Any help is appreciated.

Sorry for the bad english and formating!

The issue resolved itself somehow.
