At the end of my daily update routine I got the following error notification
ldconfig: /usr/lib/libcupsppdc.so.1 is not an ELF file - it has the wrong magic bytes at the start
ldconfig: /usr/lib/libcupsppdc.so is not an ELF file - it has the wrong magic bytes at the start
This appears after any update now (just updated the nmap package and there it was)
I used pkgfile to know what packages owns these files and the result was libcups.
I thought that these libs might have ended up corrupted and therefore tried to reinstall the package (which was also part of the update I have mentioned at the start) but in the end I receive a conflicting files notification due to files already existing in the filesystem.
EDiT - In the end I have tried some of the workarounds I have seen though ended up forcing the reinstall of the given file (not very fond of this method though).
