pavucontrol is kaput [SOLVED]

recently I updated my system, i,e, `pacman -Syu` and afterwards the interface to pavucontrol is totally broken.

I can open it, but there are no inputs, no way to change anything, no dropdown menus, no way to interact with the system.

Am I the only person experiencing this issue?

Maybe I can just substitute pavucontrol for an alternative?

Any recommendations?

Re: pavucontrol is kaput [SOLVED]

I tried `gtk-theme-arc` from yaourt, but maybe I need to reboot before it takes effect?

In fact though- I was pretty gung-ho about this- is it going to have any adverse effects that will ruin my life?

below is a screenshot of this dispicable mess:

Re: pavucontrol is kaput [SOLVED]

You have to configure your GTK3 theme the adverse effect from this will be that all your GTK3 applications are going to look like that theme which might break visual consistency with the rest of your applications (which doesn't really matter since all GTK3 applications are going to be broken one way or the other without a supporting theme)

As for the screenshot you can upload it to an image hosting site and then post the link (optionally with a thumbnail version, never embed full screenshots in your post directly)

EDIT: Please convert to a thumbnail or a link

Judging from  the icon theme you are using KDE and Breeze, therefore switch your gtk3 theme in KDE's GTK chooser. Alternatively you  could use plasma-pa (will have an entry in KDE's multimedia settings) or kmix to cover most of the features pavucontrol gives you, while still being integrated with your theme (since they use QT)

@troydwill- YOU ARE A SUNBRONZED GREEK GOD!

I fixed it with `;gtk-theme-name=Breeze`

man- thanks a million!

will it be a problem now that I've installed this `gtk-theme-arc` from yaourt?

There's a visual.   Remember to edit your first post in the thread and change the title by prepending '[SOLVED]'
