I am just learning arch and working on the nis. I have been able to make my arch install the master server. is this right or should i set up another host system for client interaction? When i do try to setup another host, I keep getting portmap error and when i got to portmap it tells me to edit the rc.conf, but i dont have an rc.conf

when i run /usr/lib/yp/ypinit -m
i see my install name and then i add a new one, say "secret"
i get error
failed to send 'clear' to local ypserv: RPC: Program not registeredUpdating shadow.byname... Ignored -> merged with passwd
then says installhost has been set up as a NIS master server.
when i goto yp>make i get errors

also get errors: domain not bound, or host not found.

my yp status says bind is running but i have this error under it
May 29 23:03:12 arch-vb sh[11353]: can't yp_bind: Reason: Domain not bound
