Mailing List Daemon

Hi,

I'm looking for a nice mailing list service for a list where "the world" should be able to write to. So some spam protection is needed.

Anyone has ideas? I found mailman not  to have good spam protection (or did I overlook it?) and majordomo to be hateable.
